Salzburg Global Nature-Based Education Launch
RoNAG's Director who is a Salzburg Global Fellow, Dr. Dickson Adom, was part of the drafting of the Salzburg Global Nature-Based Education statement that was launched on the 18th of November 2025.
He led the Salzburg Global Fellowship in planning the module on the inclusion of diverse knowledges and perspectives in nature-based educational initiatives. At the launch of the NBE statement, Dr. Adom presented and explained the grounding of nature-based educational activities in indigenous knowledge or ancestral wisdom.
He also presented on why it was extremely important to measure progress made in nature-based educational activities or progress made by learners in ecocenteic learning using a global standard metric or indicator which is a synthesis of knowledges across the world comprising of indigenous knowledges or ancestral wisdom, academic knowledge and professional knowledge on what it means to be an ecological citizen or attain ecological maturity.
